+ 8-Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Training
OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.120(e)(4) require that on-site management and supervisors directly responsible for, or who supervise employees engaged in, hazardous waste operations, receive at least eight additional hours of specialized training at the time of job assignment on such topics as, but not limited to, the employer’s safety and health program and the associated employee training program, personal protective equipment program, spill containment program, and health hazard monitoring procedure and techniques.

+ 24-Hour HAZWOPER Training
In-house spill teams and non-routine site workers will want to attend this training course which covers the basics of emergency response when dealing with small identifiable spills. Topics covered include risk assessment, working in confined spaces and developing an emergency response plan. This course will also feature the fundamentals of establishing and maintaining an in-house response team.

+ 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
HAZWOPER 40 Hour is required for employees working on a project consisting of Uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Operation mandated by the Government.
This course is specifically designed for workers who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. Topics include protection against hazardous chemicals, elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment and OSHA regulations. This course covers topics included in 29 CFR 1910.120.
Workers must also have 40 hrs of initial training before they may enter the site and at least three days of actual field experience under a trained, seasoned supervisor. The three days field experience under a trained, experienced supervisor is the responsibility of the student employer or potential employer.

OSHA OUTREACH TRAINING

+ 16-Hour OSHA Site Disaster Worker Safety Training
The Disaster Site Worker Training Program is for Disaster Site Workers who provide skilled support services, (e.g. utility, demolition, debris removal, or heavy equipment operation) or site clean-up services in response to natural and man-made disasters. Specifically, it is recognized that all workers at disaster sites need to be aware of the differences between disaster sites and regular construction or demolition worksites, and be able to inspect, don and doff air-purifying respirators. Also, the program will make management and labor aware that pre-incident training is essential for ensuring disaster site worker safety and health.
Students who attend this course are first required to attend the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety or the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training course to insure that the employee has the perquisite skills and knowledge required to understand the materials presented in this advanced course. Core
Basic Safety Training:
During
the first year OCCU-TEC Inc. will provide a Core Basic Safety Training
Course at selected corporate locations. The course will be designed to
begin with an OSHA 10-hr General Industry class that need not be
attended by those having previously completed that training, yet want to
attend the additional three-plus days of safety topics.
At
least 24 additional hours of classroom instruction, hands on exercises,
and case studies will complete the core five days of safety training.
